City & Guilds Fire Marshal Train the Trainer

Course Aim: To enable the participants to carry out their own training for Fire Marshal duties effectively in accordance with the relevant regulations and organisational procedures.Location: Open courses are held at our training centre in Northampton. If you have 4 or more delegates, we can also bring this course to you and deliver it at your premises. Please contact us for a quotation.Suitable for: Health and Safety Advisers, Managers and Officers. Trainers. Responsible individuals.Prerequisite: There are no prior learning requirements for this course.Duration: 2 daysLearning outcomes: By the end of the course the participant will be able to display an understanding of: The fire triangle and fire causation Thorough awareness oforganisational fire procedures Daily checks and preventativemeasures Knowledge and use of relevant firefighting equipment The delivery of the lesson plan Duties of a Fire Marshal including:- Fire alarms- Evacuation procedures- Accounting for personnel- Liason with fire brigade- Fire drills- Re-entry to building- Special Duties (disabled,visitors, contractors)Assessment Criteria: There is a written question paper and the trainees will be assessed on the practical element. The training involves candidate participation with the emphasis on the practical elementof the training. There is practical use of fire extinguishers at a basic level. The participants will apply the training during the course.City & Guilds Profile of Achievement: The candidate will complete a pre-course questionnaire, a mid-course interview and a post-course professional discussion to fulfil the requirements of the City & Guilds Profileof Achievement criteria.Trainers pack: Candidates will receive a full instructors pack including software with PowerPoint, lesson plan and all course materials required to deliver the course. Live fire training equipment is also available to purchase at an additional cost.
